Are you settling for less?

If you are reading this encouraging message and have yet to read your Bible today or don’t even plan on doing so, you may want to ask yourself, “Am I settling for less?”

It is very important as Christians that we never allow any form of media to supersede our daily devotion in the LORD’s word. Many are in the habit of listening to Christian programs, reading Daily Bread devotionals or relying on Sunday morning service to commune with the LORD. However, there is absolutely no substitute for the counsel received directly from Him through His word.

Certainly, the LORD can use any form of media to communicate with us and He definitely does. But, His word is the living truth which equips us with everything we need to serve Him righteously. So it is imperative that we come to know Him for ourselves so that we aren’t ever misled.

The LORD has graciously blessed us with 66 books full of lessons, blessings and promises as a precious gift of His love.

So why, settle for less when He has blessed us with the best?
